Bonner County Fair Board Meetings/Agendas & Minutes

General Information

The Bonner County Fair Board is a 7 member volunteer board appointed by the board of Bonner County Commissioners. The fair board members are knowledgeable concerning the various aspects of the fairgrounds.
  • The fair board monthly meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 5:30 pm. Due to county holidays or special meetings, some dates are subject to change or added outside of regular monthly meetings.
  • Dates and Agendas are posted on the bulletin board outside the fair office door as well as posted on our website.
To be placed on a meeting agenda:
  • Contact the Fair Office at least one week prior to the meeting. (208) 263-8414 OR email: fairgrounds@bonnercountyid.gov
  • Presentations to Fair Board are time sensitive, so please come prepared.
  • A response will be mailed within 7 working days following the meeting.

Tim and his wife Linda live on a three generational homestead they built in 1976 after leaving military service, where their kids and grandkids help them raise
Registered Shetland Sheep.
Tim has always had a passion for the Fair and Rodeo with a deep desire to promote and maintain the
agricultural tradition in Bonner County. He is a big supporter of 4H, believing that raising livestock in
particular builds the character and qualities that will serve our children well throughout their lives.
Tim loves fair week which he describes as a “county wide family reunion”. His family love showing their sheep and participating as vendors at the fair.
Tim feels honored to serve on the Fair Board and looks forward to maintaining and improving the
fairground for the generations to come.
Quentin Ducken -Vice Chairman

Quentin Ducken -Vice Chairman

Born and raised in Sandpoint, Quentin along with his wife Anna and their children, have been avid fair goers and participants. He serves as the Co Chair of the Market Animal Livestock Committee, is a Rodeo Committee member and is a Swine Leader for the 4-H Club Sagle Saddle Tramps.
He was also given the Livestock Superintendent of the Year Award for the 2024 fair.
Quentin looks forward to seeing his grandchildren enjoy the fair as much as he has.

Tawnya Johnson

Tawnya was raised in Spokane Valley and was a 4-H member of Greenacres Sheep Club and showed
market lambs and steers at the Spokane Jr. Livestock Show, Spokane Interstate Fair and SE Spokane
County Fair. An avid seamstress as well, she competed in the "Make it with wool" competitions and was also involved with Spokane Co. 4-H and livestock orgs., serving as Superintendent of the Spokane Co. Interstate Fair Market Stock Sale and President of the Spokane Interstate Livestock Boosters and Spokane Jr. Livestock Show Board of Trustees.
Tawnya moved to the Sagle area in 2013 and is actively
involved with the Bonner County Market Animal Livestock Committee.
Ben Wood

Ben Wood

Born as a fourth generation cattle rancher, Ben grew up on the Wood V-X Ranch here in Sandpoint.
Ben graduated from Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming with an Associates of Applied Science in Farm and Ranch Business Management.
Ben owns and operates Wood’s Hay and Grain which is proud to stay true to its Ag roots.

There was no quorum for the September 2022 Fair Board Meeting.
Members present: Jody Russell, Elaine Linscott, and Laya Bleckwenn
Members absent: Gail Curless, Marj Tilley and Bruce Hollett: Eddie Gordon did advise Jody that he would not be in attendance.
